Dragonis Games has officially launched its Lovecraftian horror adventure, The Shore: Enhanced Edition, on PS5. For those waiting on the Xbox front, the Series X/S version is slated for a release later this year.

The Shore first clawed its way onto PC back in February 2021, earning a reputation as a rather unique indie horror title. It managed to carve out a dedicated fanbase among horror aficionados, thanks to its oppressive atmosphere, towering eldritch entities, and a deeply personal narrative steeped in cosmic dread. It’s precisely this title that helped Dragonis Games cement its status as a studio capable of crafting moody, narrative-driven experiences.

Entering a new chapter through a publishing partnership with EPi Games, The Shore: Enhanced Edition has been thoroughly optimised for modern consoles, aiming to deliver a more polished and immersive affair. As a first-person Lovecraftian horror adventure, it blends exploration with environmental puzzles in a world constructed from ancient gods and forbidden knowledge. You step into the shoes of Andrew, a father searching for his missing daughter on a desolate island abandoned by humanity. As you traverse the island, reality begins to fray, pulling you deeper into a nightmare woven from secrets older than time, existential horror, and a touch of obsession.

Beneath the island’s surface, ancient gods are slowly warping the world above. You must utilise bizarre relics and shards of forbidden power to confront these eldritch entities and uncover the island’s truth, alongside the fate of Andrew’s daughter. Be warned, though: knowledge in this realm comes at a steep price.
