Meanwhile, the popularity of top-tier PvE classes is climbing daily, led by the 'Gunner' in second place. Their representation among rankers has ticked up by 2.7 percentage points since just before the holiday, putting real pressure on the Blade Master. While the gap between the two remains significant, the Gunner is closing it at an impressive pace.

The combat power data paints an even clearer picture of the Gunner's rise: 17 more players focusing on Attack, 18 on Defense, and both metrics showing an average power increase exceeding 120,000. When you see both user numbers and combat power surging in tandem, you know you're looking at a true meta-defining class.

The folks over on the 'Fortune' server have been grinding hard throughout the holidays, resulting in a healthy jump in average combat power. Growth in Hongmoon levels, however, has hit a bit of a wall—we're looking at a mere one-level increase over the past two weeks. Despite the plateau, the competition for the top spots remains cutthroat, with some familiar names from last week's leaderboard unceremoniously pushed out of the rankings.

The class meta looks much like the old guard: Blade Master and Gunner are locked in a duel for the top, while 'Archer, Destroyer, and Force Master' hold a steady, albeit distant, grip on the 3rd to 5th spots. It's a mirror image of the senior servers. Interestingly, the absolute top-tier rankers are opting for more eclectic choices like 'Warden, Assassin, Blade Dancer, and Warlock'.

Mythic Grade Guardian Spirit special option statistics

We've seen a minor shift in the Mythic Guardian Spirit charts. 'Yeomgaku' has made its debut, claiming a 2% share. It's not exactly a massive takeover, but it's a fresh face in a 5th-place race previously dominated by 'Wolmyo' and 'Cheonbingho'.

Yeomgaku’s special option focuses on 'Breath of Life' for a survival-oriented build. With developers hinting at buffs for defensive gear, these numbers could definitely shift. It serves a similar utility to the 4th-place 'Dueoksini', though there is still a significant power gap between the two spirits.

The Ancient Guardian Deity leader charts remain largely unchanged, with 'Fleet Admiral Eun Gwang-il' at #1 and 'Awakened Poharan' at #2. The real intrigue lies in the 3rd-ranked 'King of Force Hong Seok-geun' setups. Among rankers prioritizing defense, the adoption of 'Awakened Helina' has surged. By pairing her with 'Sword Saint Bicheon', players are creating a robust survival engine that nets both health recovery and total incoming damage reduction. Add in Hong Seok-geun's immunity to action-restriction buffs, and you've got a potent synergy for both PvP defense and damage mitigation.

Overall Blade Master defense ranking #1: 'DajeonghanPuhaha'

Let's take a look at a practical application of the Awakened Helina setup, courtesy of 'DajeonghanPuhaha', currently the top Blade Master in terms of defense. Instead of going for a pure high-firepower glass cannon build, the meta is currently favoring a balanced approach that weaves in defense. Given the Blade Master's naturally high base attack, this survival-focused balance is proving far more effective on the battlefield.

The build logic aligns with other top Blade Masters: a base of 10 'Jucheon' sets with defense-focused refinements. Even with the increased focus on defense, they've ensured that the weapon and ring pair are optimized for 'Pierce', squeezing the most efficiency out of every gear slot.

For the Guardian Spirit, they've equipped 'Sun of Life Dueoksini' to stack HP absorption, defense bypass negation, and critical damage reduction. Complemented by the Awakened Helina Guardian Deity, the survivability is high enough that they've even forgone the 'Seven Stars' martial art badge. It’s an intriguing choice, and worth keeping an eye on as the meta shifts.

Blade & Soul Revolution User Poll

Before the Lunar New Year, we saw coupons for a 'Free Class Change Ticket' distributed via the Revolution Challenge. We ran a poll to see which classes players were leaning toward. To keep the data clean, we grouped them into melee, ranged, Blade Master, and 'no change' rather than listing every one of the 24 classes.

The results? The Blade Master took the crown with 69.6%. While 'Melee' came in second at 17.4%, the overwhelming sentiment clearly favored the ranged classes, spearheaded by the Blade Master. I suspect their recent tournament victory had quite a bit to do with that popularity.
