Hello! Welcome to our first big data game ranking of March 2026. The mobile charts are looking rather lively this week, with some intense scuffles happening across both the top and bottom tiers. First, the battle for second place is in full swing. We’ve seen another swap since last week, though the rivalry remains quite stable. The real wildcard here is 'Maple Grow'. Meanwhile, 'Roblox' is maintaining solid numbers, or perhaps even seeing a slight uptick. How the issues that plagued February finally resolve will likely dictate the outcome of this particular grudge match.

In the lower top 10, 'Brawl Stars' and 'Elpis' (19th, +7) are making impressive strides, while 'Dragon Sword' (13th, -5) and 'That Dragon' (20th, -6) are hitting a bit of a rough patch. That’s a significant shake-up. Brawl Stars has made a rare return to the top 10, whereas 'That Dragon' has tumbled down to 20th. As for 'Elpis', which is now moving past its initial launch hype, one has to wonder: is this the final burst of adrenaline, or has the engine just been re-tuned? Next week’s data will be telling.

Looking at the 21–40 range, we’re seeing a fair few titles taking a nose-dive. 'Arknights' is a prime example, plummeting 14 spots to finish at 39th. Unless there’s a dramatic turnaround, it might just drop off the charts entirely by the second week of March.

On a brighter note, the rush of new releases is beginning. 'Joseon Rogue Classic' has kicked off the festivities, landing comfortably at 9th in its debut. It’s certainly made an impression on the veterans. With a slew of highly anticipated titles dropping throughout March, I suspect the first quarter of this year is about to get very chaotic indeed.

Online – Popular IPs keep the momentum going

A few heavy-hitting IPs are enjoying a good run. Search volumes for 'Lineage Classic', 'Overwatch' (13th), and 'Diablo 2 Resurrected' (14th) have all trended upward. Their positions remain unchanged from last week, but don't let that fool you; the momentum is what matters. Lineage Classic is widening the gap with 'FC Online' at 3rd, while Overwatch and Diablo 2 Resurrected are hot on the heels of the 12th-place 'PUBG'. The heat around the 10th-place mark is rising.

It’s also worth keeping an eye on 'World of Warcraft'. Its rank is climbing, thanks to the long-awaited launch of the new expansion, 'The Midnight'. The two-spot jump in the first week of March happened even before the expansion was fully integrated, so expect an even higher climb next week.

The Midnight continues the Worldsoul Saga, inviting players to explore both new and revamped zones. The level cap has been bumped to 90, and there’s a smorgasbord of new activities: zone events, PvP areas, dungeons, delves, hunting grounds, and player housing. They’ve even got external promotions and events lined up. It’ll be fascinating to see just how much fuel this expansion adds to the fire.

Keep an eye on 'Final Fantasy 14' (25th) as well. No change in rank this week, but search volume has seen a meaningful spike. It has been creeping upward since February, and with global synchronization on the horizon, interest is definitely piquing.

Steam – Resident Evil: Requiem debuts at 3rd

The Steam charts are the true epicenter of the new release rush. Following 'Nioh 3', another newcomer, 'Resident Evil: Requiem', has successfully debuted in the top 3. Meanwhile, 'Poppy Playtime' has unleashed a new chapter and dethroned the ever-present 'PUBG' to take the crown. The hierarchy at the top has been completely rewritten.

Resident Evil: Requiem’s initial performance is quite something. Since its release on February 27, it has crushed it in both sales and concurrent players. As of March 4, the Steam user reviews are glowing, with both Korean and global reviews sitting at 'Very Positive'. Out of 47,781 reviews, a staggering 96% are positive. It is, without a doubt, the game to talk about right now.

Resident Evil: Requiem features a dual-track gameplay system. You can experience classic survival horror with limited resources as Grace Ashcroft, or lean into the action-packed thrills as Leon S. Kennedy. And unlike its predecessors, you can switch between first and third-person perspectives at will.

With its granular environmental detail, rock-solid optimization, and the nostalgic return to Raccoon City and the police station, it’s no surprise players are singing its praises. It’s being hailed as a title that has absorbed the best of the entire series, and gamers are likely to keep flocking to it for the foreseeable future.

Pre-orders – The March new release rush begins!

March is shaping up to be a jolly good month for gamers, with all sorts of new treats headed our way. 'Storm Age Grow' opened its doors on March 3rd, finishing its pre-order run in 3rd place. I’m looking forward to seeing how it fares in the mobile charts next week.

And of course, the ones we’ve all been waiting for are on the horizon: 'Crimson Desert', 'DX: Awakeners', and 'The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin'. Each of these has the pedigree to make a massive splash upon release. Add to that the likes of 'Game of Thrones: Kingsroad', 'Last Valkyrie', and 'Sol: enchant'—which opens pre-orders on March 5th—and the excitement just keeps building.
