The meta in 'Seven Knights Re:BIRTH' (hereinafter SKRB) has been feeling a bit stale, especially for those running magic-based decks. Enter 'Reginleif', the new hero designed to rescue magic squads from the current arena inflation with her core 'magic vulnerability' debuff. Since the update dropped on March 5th, top-tier players have been frantically testing her in the wild. Amidst the chaos, one user on the official lounge asked for a defensive deck recommendation that doesn't rely on 'Gelidus'. KookminTree has rounded up the details.

So, how does 'Reginleif' actually perform?

The new hero Reginleif’s 'magic vulnerability' debuff is potent, but it requires a full party of five magic-type heroes to trigger. Naturally, to make her shine, you need to field four other magic-types. As of March 6th, arena leaders are currently experimenting with 'Melcure', 'Milia', 'Freya', 'Juri', and 'Kyriel'.

Since the arrival of 'Radgrid', defensive decks in SKRB have seen a massive shift. She fits perfectly into 'Palanus' compositions, as she effectively absorbs damage meant for universal-type heroes like Palanus. Depending on her transcendence level, she even provides shields to those in the backline. It is safe to say that defensive decks have been completely rebuilt around her.

That said, the high-end meta still demands the presence of the old Seven Knights hero, Gelidus. Without him, you lose the sustain and disruption needed to really frustrate your opponents. One user, 'MythTroll 166', posted on the official lounge asking for advice because they lacked Gelidus. After sharing screenshots of their roster, the community chimed in with a solid alternative.

The recommended lineup is 'Radgrid - Sun Wukong - Palanus - Elysia - Alice'. As for 'Alice', she is mainly there to satisfy Palanus’ skill requirements. New heroes 'Reginleif' and 'Guan Yu' arrive

On March 5th, both Reginleif and 'Guan Yu' joined the roster of SKRB. As noted, Reginleif is built for magic decks, while Guan Yu comes with a toolkit specialized for PvE. Reginleif is available via pickup summon, while every player can reach 2-transcendence for Guan Yu through the '3rd Hero Expedition' rewards. Guan Yu can strip three buffs from a single target and cleanse debuffs from allies. According to the developer notes, he is designed to excel in upcoming PvE content, so keep an eye on him.

'Noul', the guild that takes guild wars seriously

The guild 'Noul'—which boasted rankings of 11th, 4th, 8th, 7th, and 9th across the five seasons of guild wars—is currently recruiting. They are serious about staying in the top 10, though they claim to be quite relaxed: 'No orders, total autonomy, we provide the guides, and as long as you follow them, no one will bother you.' Their goals are a top 10 finish in guild wars and top 50 in the Expedition. Lovely 'Elysia'

White Day is creeping up on us. Even though we are still a ways off from March 14th, SKRB has already unveiled their White Day costumes for 'Orly', Elysia, and Kyriel. While Orly’s costume is available now, Elysia and Kyriel will have to wait until March 12th.

Unlike Orly and Kyriel, who lean into shades of pink, Elysia’s design is defined by roses and a striking crimson palette. The highlights are the cream-covered mirror and sword—they look as if they were just plucked out of a cake. Look forward to seeing Elysia, a staple universal-type hero, in her new outfit on March 12th.
