2K has officially released three special editions of 'WWE 2K26', the latest iteration in the wrestling franchise developed by Visual Concepts, on the 9th. The lineup includes the 'King of Kings Edition', 'Attitude Era Edition', and 'Monday Night War Edition'. Those who purchase these special editions can jump into the game before the standard edition's official launch on the 13th.

The 'King of Kings Edition' includes the base benefits of the 'Standard Edition' (including the Joe Hendry Pack) plus the 'King of Kings Pack'. You also get access to the 'Ringside Pass Premium Season 1', which becomes available post-launch. The 'Attitude Era Edition' includes all the bonuses of the 'King of Kings Edition', plus the 'Attitude Era Edition Pack' and 'Superstar Mega Boost', with access to 'Ringside Pass Premium Seasons 1 through 4'.

The top-tier 'Monday Night War Edition' bundles all benefits from the previous editions along with the 'Monday Night War Edition Pack' and 'WrestleMania 42 Pack'. This edition grants access to 'Ringside Pass Premium Seasons 1 through 6'.

'WWE 2K26' aims for a genuine evolution, improving game modes and strengthening interactions and storylines. Four new match types have been added, and the game features the largest roster in the series history. The core '2K Showcase: Punked' mode features CM Punk himself as the narrator.

The game boasts a roster of over 400 icons, ranging from current RAW, SmackDown, and NXT superstars to legends and Hall of Famers such as 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin, John Cena, The Rock, 'Macho Man' Randy Savage, and Trish Stratus. The revamped 'MyRISE' mode lets you step into the boots of 'The Archetype', a superstar returning after a two-year hiatus to reclaim their glory. Players can choose whether to uphold their honor or succumb to deceit, with unlockable content available even after the main story concludes.

Additionally, intergender matches have been introduced across all modes, and four new match types have been added: 'I Quit', 'Inferno', 'Three Stages of Hell', and 'Dumpster'. Notably, 'The Island' mode has been expanded to the PC platform for the first time, and the franchise-first 'WWE Draft' system for Universe mode has been added to increase immersion. The game also introduces the 'Ringside Pass', a new system replacing the traditional DLC model, where players can earn over 120 rewards, including exclusive characters and customization items, through gameplay.

Greg Thomas, President of Visual Concepts, stated, "Our development team has pushed past their own limits to elevate every aspect of WWE 2K26. We are confident that players will be satisfied with this leap forward and hope they find joy in seeing their imaginations come to life in the ring." The 'Standard Edition', featuring the current World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk on the cover, is available for pre-order until the 13th, with the 'Joe Hendry Pack' provided as a bonus.

'WWE 2K26' is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC (Steam). The Nintendo Switch 2 version supports touchscreen controls and single Joy-Con play.
