NHN is rolling out the first major update for its collection-based RPG 'Abyssdia' on the 17th. The star of the show is Lalatina, a brand-new SSR-grade melee tanker. She is a genius magitech engineer serving as the vanguard of the Varant Empire, currently carrying out a special mission within the Verania Kingdom territory—and yes, she fights using some rather eccentric magitech gadgets.

To mark her arrival, a pick-up contract event kicks off on the 17th and runs until April 6, giving you a better chance to add Lalatina to your roster. Her exclusive SSR artifact, 'Brownie', is also joining the pick-up lineup. Furthermore, a season event delving into the character's backstory will be live until the 31st. Players can collect a specialized item, 'Lalatina's Screw', and swap them for growth rewards at the exchange shop.

Starting the 23rd, the seasonal boss raid 'Abyss Invader' enters a new chapter. Blade Panther makes its debut as the fresh boss encounter, requiring you to assemble multiple parties and swap them out strategically. Master the boss's unique mechanics, rack up the damage, and you might just secure those tiered ranking rewards.

The update isn't just about new faces; it includes a slew of quality-of-life tweaks. We finally have a codex feature to track character and item details at a glance, along with improvements to equipment crafting, selector and box usage, mid-battle camera controls, lobby UI, and the intimacy system. Jung Joong-jae, head of NHN's Game Business Division, noted, "We are committed to listening to player feedback to continuously refine the game environment," adding that "Lalatina is just the beginning of a diverse range of new content to come."
