Global premier esports organization DRX has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to pursue a naming sponsorship with Kiwoom Securities. The two parties held a signing ceremony on the morning of the 19th at the DRX Seoul Tower in Mapo-gu, Seoul. The ceremony was attended by DRX Chairman Park Jung-moo and Kiwoom Securities CEO Um Joo-sung. DRX players in attendance included League of Legends pro 'Willer' (Kim Jeong-hyeon), Valorant pro 'BeYN' (Kang Ha-bin), and Tekken legend 'Knee' (Bae Jae-min).

The specific team name, contract terms, and other details will be finalized upon the signing of the definitive agreement. The two companies plan to explore cooperation in various areas, including brand collaboration, joint marketing, content creation, and fan engagement programs. They aim to expand the connection between the esports fandom and financial services, seeking a branding strategy that combines finance and esports.

DRX Chairman Park Jung-moo stated, "Both companies share the commonality of creating new value through challenge and innovation in a rapidly changing environment." He added, "This collaboration will be a true partnership that breaks down the barriers between esports and financial services, consistently presenting content and experiences that the younger generation can participate in and relate to."

Kiwoom Securities CEO Um Joo-sung said, "We decided on this cooperation to approach the daily lives of Gen Z, who will be the leaders of the future economy, in a more enjoyable way. We will provide generous support so that we can grow together by engaging with the powerful fandom that DRX possesses."

Following this MOU, DRX will participate in the 'Kiwoom Run' event hosted by Kiwoom Securities in April to mark Disabled Persons' Day, where they will operate on-site programs and discuss further possibilities for collaboration between the two companies.
