Busan Metropolitan City, the Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency, and the Busan Indie Connect Festival Organizing Committee (BIC Organizing Committee) will release the online business briefing video for BIC 2026 on their official YouTube channel, 'UNIVERSE-INDIE', on March 20 at 3 PM.

The offline event for the BIC Festival 2026 will be held at Hall 2, Exhibition Center 1 of BEXCO in Busan from August 14 to 16. The online event will run from August 7 to 28.

The business briefing will introduce the conference scheduled for the first day of the offline event, the direction of BIC 2026, key programs, submission schedules and regulations for indie games, and support projects. This year, many new programs encompassing both developers and gamers will be included.

The official slogan for BIC 2026 is 'Buff Your Indie Spirit'. It carries the meaning of increasing the vitality of the entire indie game ecosystem by combining the creative passion of indie game developers with the energy of gamers. The BIC Organizing Committee plans to strengthen connections between developers, visitors, and industry stakeholders under this slogan.

Seven companies have been confirmed as early sponsors for BIC 2026 so far. Pearl Abyss and the Korea Creative Content Agency are participating as Platinum sponsors. Smilegate Stove is participating as a Gold sponsor. Visual Dart is a Silver sponsor, and AdPopcorn, the Game Rating and Administration Committee, and Megazone Cloud are participating as Bronze sponsors. Applications for official BIC 2026 sponsors are open until June 26.

Joo Sung-pil, Chairman of the BIC Organizing Committee, stated, "BIC is a platform where indie game developers can showcase their exhibits and connect directly with gamers," adding, "This year, we are preparing to add a powerful buff to the entire indie game ecosystem so that more people can experience the potential of indie games through new programs and expanded support."
