Once Human is conducting a closed beta test ahead of its console version launch. The test will be held from March 27 to April 9, covering PS5, PS5 Pro, and Xbox Series X/S platforms. Alongside this, the version 2.3.26 update for Once Human will be applied on March 27. This update includes new combat mechanics and new mutations.

Users who wish to participate in the closed beta can apply through the official Once Human Discord community. All progress will be reset after the test ends. All participants will receive a permanent 'CBT Pack' as a reward. This reward can be claimed on a linked account or other platform accounts once the console version is officially released. This closed beta supports cross-platform play between PlayStation and Xbox.

Additionally, several new mutations are added through the version 2.3.26 update. When dealing with the 'Devourer', a method of strategically adjusting aggro using sound cues and rules is introduced. This allows players to lure nearby elite enemies or distribute attacks among allies. The 'Morphic Tree', which disguises itself in the forest, inflicts debuffs that distort vision and hearing if surrounding trees are removed, but defeating the main body causes all trees within a 50-meter radius to die instantly, allowing players to obtain a large amount of wood. Also, the 'Sea Bunny', which lurks underwater to ambush players, appears as a new survival threat.
