On March 25, 'Raven 2' is adding a variety of content centered around the new region, Valton. New progression mechanics, stats, field bosses, and Heavenstones are coming to players. As this is a significant patch, we have been preparing for the entry throughout March. The Valton hunting grounds start at level 83, which might feel daunting for players with lower levels and stats. However, regardless of your specs, there are things you must check and take advantage of when a new region opens. This tip summarizes the information you need to quickly investigate and secure after the patch, based on Raven 2's update patterns and the 23rd Developer Note.

Q. The Valton update is looming. Where do I even start?
A. Get your head around the map, new items, and the collection logs first.

After a major update, you need to grasp the core information quickly. The first things to check after the Valton region opens are the Special Forces log rewards, the new item drops, and the item collection entries. Raven 2's regional logs are completed by visiting various parts of the map to clear the fog. Even if your stats are lacking, you can get rewards just by revealing 100% of the map. While we don't know exactly what the rewards will be yet, based on past precedents, they are likely to be practical items. Stock up on Sprinting Potions, Return Scrolls, and Teleport Scrolls, and become a 'running crew' for a while.

Once you have finished the regional log tasks, open the map and check the types of items dropped in each hunting ground. The key is to look for Rare-grade or higher equipment and new items. The goal is, of course, to farm them and register them in your item collection to obtain rewards. This is also useful for earning Crystals through the marketplace. Since everyone starts at the same baseline for Valton collections, there will be demand for material items. This means it is a great opportunity to earn Crystals in the marketplace.

According to the March 20 Raven 2 developer note, Valton starts at level 83 and consists of 14 hunting grounds. They have also teased the addition of new collections and hidden hunting grounds. The arrival of new item collections is practically guaranteed.

You should also carefully check the 'Collection - General' tab among the item collections. In Raven 2, if you defeat town guard NPCs, they drop exclusive collection items. Players often refer to this as a 'free stat bonus.' So, after the Valton update, be sure to check the logs or visit the town and take on the guards. Did a collection material drop? It's time to dance in the town. Also, don't forget to check the monster log rewards for the Special Forces.

Q. My stats are still too low. Got any other advice?
A. Chaos Tower Season 10 ends on April 1, and the Valton commemorative buff runs until April 8.

There may still be Raven 2 users who haven't graduated from Rungard or are hitting a wall in their progression. If you are one of them, check the schedule from late March to the second week of April. As of March 24, there are two major dates to keep in mind.

First, Chaos Tower Season 10 ends on April 1 at 5:00 AM. From the next season, you can summon 'Weapon Resonance,' a new growth element, using Chaos Tower coins. It is a good idea to save your Sweep Tickets for that time. Additionally, Raven 2 is improving the sweep function through the March 25 update. Now, you can receive buff rewards even when using the sweep feature. You can choose whether to refresh the buff based on your checkbox settings. This is a point to remember for efficient climbing and coin farming.

Furthermore, from the end of the maintenance on March 25 until April 8 at 5:00 AM, the game will provide 'Grace of Hunting' and 'Grace of Growth' buffs to celebrate the Valton update. The Grace of Hunting grants 'Accuracy +5, Normal Monster Damage +3, Normal Monster Damage Reduction +2,' while the Grace of Growth offers 'EXP Bonus +50%, Gold Bonus +100%.' These buffs will be applied to all regions including Sinerim, Akehon, Alteia, Rungard, and Valton. Use these graces as a stepping stone to grow or enter the new stage.

Q. I am still worried about my stats when challenging Valton.
A. Keep your eyes on the new growth content: Weapon Resonance.

Weapon Resonance is a new growth element revealed in the 23rd developer note. To summarize, it is an item you obtain through summoning, equip, and gain passive effects from. It looks similar to the Holy Spirit system, but the difference is that it is not added to the permanent Crystal summon tab. The gear stats provided by Weapon Resonance are as shown in the image. Entries marked with '[New]' indicate newly introduced stats.

After the update, the things to check regarding Weapon Resonance are 'Summon Cost, Collection Rewards, and Contract Summons.' As of March 25, the acquisition methods include Chaos Coins (after Season 11), shop purchases, and Gold summons. You need to check how many you can get and at what cost, as well as the purchase cycle, to plan your investment. Managing Chaos Coins is especially important as they are limited per season and the remaining amount evaporates when the season ends.

Contract Summons follow a similar logic. Contract Summon is a kind of safety net that gives you a chance to obtain higher-tier items when you consistently summon Holy Spirits or Familiars. The fact that they introduced Contract Summons for Weapon Resonance is something to consider. It is definitely information you need to grasp. For collection rewards, you can approach them similarly to the item collections seen in Raven 2 so far.
