On March 25, Raven 2 rolled out a massive update. The star of this patch is the new region, Valten, which packs in four distinct areas and 14 hunting grounds starting at level 83. To dive into the main quest, you will need to hit level 75 and clear the final quest of Rungard, 'Even in Despair'. The update also adds sub-quests, special force missions, and a special force manual codex for the region.

Field bosses are, of course, part of the package. Right after the maintenance ended, the four-star boss 'Blazing Hatred Vargas' made its debut. Vargas drops the new Hero-grade Heavenstone, 'Giant Smash'. It is a melee-type Heavenstone that lets you charge at enemies and strike three targets. You will also gain a 'Vanguard Leader' effect, which boosts your main target damage resistance by 2% for every four nearby enemy players.

The second highlight is the new progression system, 'Weapon Resonance'. Think of it as a wardrobe update where you swap your weapon skin while gaining stats from resonance items. You can snag these items via the in-game shop or through gold summoning. Once you have them, just hit the new 'Weapon Resonance' icon in the menu to set things up. Also, look out for these appearing in the Chaos Coin exchange list when the next season of the Tower of Chaos hits.

Weapon Resonance only works with the same weapon type your current class uses. Since it functions like a separate skin or companion—with its own stats and visuals—it adds a nice layer of customisation. You will be filling out collections based on the items you hoard to grab stat bonuses. For anything Hero-grade or higher, the game offers pickup selection, re-summoning, contract summoning, and a pity system. If you have been grinding in Raven 2 for a while, this will all feel like second nature.

Now, for the events. To help you settle into Valten, Raven 2 is handing out 'Grace of Hunting' and 'Grace of Growth' buffs. The former grants 'Accuracy +5, Normal Monster Damage +3, and Normal Monster Damage Reduction +2', while the latter boosts 'EXP by 50% and Gold by 100%'. These buffs will be active in Sinerim and beyond until 4:59 AM on April 8.

The '[Valten]' event series, packed with various missions and login rewards, has also kicked off. These run until 4:59 AM on April 22. Among the loot, you will find 'Remnants of Light', which you can burn at the 'Empire's Treasure Vault' in the crafting tab. It is used to craft Hero Crafting Pattern Pieces, Hero Heavenstone Polish, and the limited-time collection material, 'Crystal of Radiant Light'.

The Valten event is split into three pillars: Attendance, Life Content, and Summoning. For attendance, '[Valten] Empire's Gift 14-Day Attendance' offers 11-pull summon tickets for costumes, companions, and Stella over two weeks. The life content section includes '[Valten] Empire's Mission' and '[Valten] Empire's Equipment Restoration', which simply ask you to kill monsters, finish special force tasks, and enhance or dismantle gear as you normally would.

The summoning events, '[Valten] Empire's Summon Mission' and '[Valten] Master of Weapon Resonance', cover the rest. The former focuses on your standard costume, companion, and Stella summons, while the latter is all about the new Weapon Resonance. Specifically, if you hit 120 resonance summons, you will snag a Rare Weapon Resonance summon ticket—a golden opportunity to guarantee a rare-grade piece.
