Busan Metropolitan City and the Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency (hereinafter the 'Agency') are accepting applications for the '2026 Busan Young Game Developer Settlement Support Project' until April 7.

This project is part of a regional game industry promotion initiative jointly conducted by Busan Metropolitan City and the Korea Creative Content Agency. It aims to alleviate housing cost burdens for young game developers and encourage their long-term settlement in the region.

The program targets young developers who are currently employed or scheduled to join small to medium-sized game companies based in Busan, specifically those who joined on or after January 1, 2024. Companies can apply for up to two employees, with an additional two spots available for new hires made within the current year.

Selected individuals will receive up to 250,000 KRW per month for a maximum of 12 months, covering up to 50% of their monthly rent. The support is available to young workers residing in Busan under a lease agreement, including those planning to move to Busan within one month of the agreement.

Kim Tae-yeol, President of the Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency, stated, "It is crucial to provide a stable environment for young game developers to start their careers," adding, "We will support the continuous growth of young developers through practical assistance, such as alleviating housing burdens."
