V5 Games officially pulled the curtain back on the launch of Silkroad Again this 7th. It is a mobile fantasy MMORPG that dusts off the IP of Wemade Max’s PC classic, Silkroad Online. The developers promise a high degree of freedom in character progression and a mountain of content, aiming to get back to the core appeal of the MMORPG genre.

The game drops you into the endless desert trade routes, where the eternal struggle between thieves looking to plunder and hunters tasked with protection plays out. You will choose your side and tinker with 5 types of weapons and 4 types of martial arts skills. It’s a mix of trading, raiding, and adventuring, with the iconic faction wars from the original title ported over to mobile to tickle the nostalgia of long-time fans.

Beyond the combat, you can customise your character with a wardrobe of outfits and manage three different pet systems: combat pets, mounts, and companions. There’s a monster and equipment encyclopedia for the completionists out there, too. To keep the social side of things ticking, they’ve added guild missions, exclusive skills, and raids to ensure your growth feels meaningful.

To celebrate the launch, V5 Games is rolling out a flurry of events. Log in daily to grab essential growth items and a Lamp Set costume over the first seven days.
