We have the arrival of new heroes 'Mist' and 'Nata', the opening of the 'Dragon Claw Land' region, and a host of quality-of-life tweaks including three new pets, an 'Akila' remake, and the introduction of safe gear polishing. The official lounge is, predictably, a battlefield of theory-crafting and performance debates. Let's dive into the community buzz and the week's biggest stories.

New Heroes 'Mist' and 'Nata' Join the Fray

The update introduces two new Legendary heroes: Mist, the Guardian of Heaven, and Nata from the Eastern Lands. The former is being touted as a potential meta-shifter for PvP 'Instant Death' teams, while the latter boasts a skill set tailored for the Monday-Wednesday Castle Rush boss. Adventurers in the official SKRB lounge are currently busy testing if the reality lives up to the hype.

Nata's arrival is, shall we say, poorly timed. Since the magic-damage-focused Castle Rush cycle has just concluded, we will have to wait until next week to see her true potential. However, with the exact skill coefficients already public, theory-crafters are hard at work. The consensus? It is difficult to see her dethroning 'Sun Wukong' as the top-tier damage dealer. She looks like a solid side-grade or a replacement for 'Ruri' at best.

Mist, on the other hand, has seen plenty of field testing in the Arena. While the 'meta' build is far from settled, players are experimenting with some surprisingly viable setups. The current trend involves slotting Mist into existing Instant Death teams and using 'Radgrid' as the main tank to bolster survivability. The big question remains: is the 'Fear-Instant Death' combo truly as broken as it looks? Everyone agrees the 'unremovable' status effect is potent, but its practical consistency needs more vetting.

Q. What should I do with my maxed-out Rare heroes?
A. Use them as fodder for 'Melkir's Laboratory'.

In SKRB, hero acquisition through gacha, farming, and synthesis is quite generous, meaning you will naturally hit 12-transcendence on your Rare heroes sooner or later. A user named 'Experienced Berserker 3940' asked what to do with the growing pile of Rare duplicates.

While there is no single 'correct' answer, veterans like 'Sleepless Swordsman 6388' and 'Lavender Grower' offered some sound advice: use them for 6-star hero upgrades or ultimate enhancements, and dump the rest into Melkir's Laboratory.

KookminTree would add that since you will inevitably have an overflow of Rare heroes, the laboratory is indeed their final destination. Just be warned: the 'Dark Magic' experiment costs a hefty amount of Gold, so check your coffers before diving in. Also, there is no rush to burn them; in the last livestream, developers hinted at potential new uses for duplicates, so hoarding a few might be the smarter play.

'Water Festival' Costume Sale

It feels like just yesterday I was wearing a winter coat, but the mercury is rising fast. To match the sudden shift in season, SKRB has released some refreshing costumes: 'Water Gun Colt' and 'Water Balloon Ruri'.

Both are currently on sale. As they are Rare-grade, the base price is 5,000 Rubies, but you can snag them for 2,000 Rubies less. The sale runs from the maintenance on April 16 until the maintenance on April 30. Don't miss out.

You don't have to be from Daegu! 'Son of Daegu'

In SKRB, it is quite common to come across guilds based on regional ties. It is always a bit nostalgic to face a guild named after your hometown in Guild War, though naturally, we show no mercy once the match starts!

The 'Son of Daegu' guild might sound like a local social club, but it is actually just a branding choice. The guild leans into a cheeky, mock-government recruitment concept, as seen in their promotional materials.

The rules are simple: daily Castle Rush participation is mandatory, and missing three times gets you the boot. Guild War participation is required, and they strongly suggest burning all attack tickets in the Advent Expedition. You must have a total score of over 5 million in Total War (Rare grade) and Destruction God modes. If interested, search for 'Son of Daegu' in the official lounge and join their open chat.

The Ultimate Ruler, 'Mist'

Mist, the Guardian of Heaven who stole the show in our last event scenario, has finally arrived. Her tragic backstory involving Sun Wukong has tugged at the heartstrings of many. In short, she volunteered to become an experimental subject to save Sun Wukong. She gained immense power through the process, but at the cost of her own identity and memories.

Even in her hollow state, Mist recognized Sun Wukong. While Wukong, unaware of her sacrifice, saw her only as another experimental test subject, Mist knew exactly who he was. After the truth came to light, Wukong went on a rampage, only to be suppressed by Freya.

Interestingly, Mist's hero log mentions she 'felt a sense of longing', suggesting she might be regaining her emotions. A happy ending could be on the horizon. In anticipation of the next chapter of the Guardian of Heaven story, we have prepared some wallpapers featuring Mist.
