The Netmarble Cultural Foundation has announced that the 'Netmarble Game Museum', now celebrating its first anniversary, has become the first game-focused institution in the country to be officially registered as a 'Type 1 Professional Museum'.

Since opening its doors last March, the museum has firmly established itself as a hub for cultural exchange, spreading the joy and value of gaming. This registration is a formal recognition from the state regarding the museum's professional operations, proving that games are more than mere entertainment—they are a vital cultural asset shared by all generations.

Building on this milestone, the museum plans to strengthen its role as a 'space of empathy', creating an environment where children can discover new forms of play, while adults can revisit the nostalgic memories of yesteryear.

In line with this, the special exhibition 'Play Joseon: A Move, Beyond the Board', which was revamped last March, explores the essence of gaming through the lens of Joseon Dynasty play culture. Visitors can participate in custom stamp activities and try their hand at 'Seunggyeongdo', reinterpreted as a modern board game.

To celebrate Family Month in May, the museum is hosting special events. Children will receive free admission for two weeks from April 28 to May 10, and the museum will remain open as usual during Labor Day and Children's Day.
