Gamepia has revealed the Japanese voice cast for Team Tetrapod's upcoming superpower mystery adventure, Stepper Retro: Superpower Mystery Quest. Alongside this, the PC (Steam) demo has received a voice update, and crowdfunding has officially kicked off in both Korea and Japan.

The protagonist, Verita Retro, will be voiced by Saho Shirasu, while Vero Retro is played by Saki Fujita. Familiar faces from the previous title, Stepper Case, return as well, with Reina Kawamura as Jade Bering, Tarusuke Shingaki as Caucasus Brian, and Yumi Hara as Pandoria Redfins. The first episode, scheduled for release on July 23, now features these voices in the updated Steam demo. You can get hands-on with this voiced version at 2026 PlayX4 and 2026 BitSummit Punch.

Team Tetrapod is running crowdfunding campaigns across both Korea and Japan. The Korean Tumblbug campaign launched on May 7 at 3:00 PM. It seems the 'open run' pre-notification feature was a hit, attracting over 500 interested backers, and by 5:00 PM, 369 supporters had already pushed the funding to a staggering 648% of its goal. The campaign tiers offer a delightful array of series-themed memorabilia, including a music box, a hardcover art book featuring new content, two types of acrylic keyrings, and layered paper art.

As for the stretch goals, if they hit the final target of 240,000,000 KRW, the team has promised a free release of the next spin-off title and full Korean dubbing for Stepper Retro. Their Japanese crowdfunding initiative similarly promises that Japanese dubbing will be extended to side stories as well.

The Stepper series is Team Tetrapod’s original mystery saga set in a world where superpowers are a reality. This latest entry, Stepper Retro, follows the journey of Verita Retro, a girl who finds herself unraveling the dark underbelly of a world defined by these abilities. The game boasts Spine-animated illustrations, over 30 hours of gameplay, and more than 100 clues to piece together. Gamepia also hinted that a demo for the Nintendo Switch version, which is currently available for pre-order, will be arriving soon.
