The turn-based RPG 'Forgotten Saga', which originally graced our screens back in 1997, is staging a grand return.

Daewon Media dropped a teaser on their official YouTube channel on the 7th. They also announced that they will reveal further details at PlayX4.

Titled 'The Return of a Legend: Forgotten Saga Teaser. Again, Asking for Your Name', the clip opens in a room adorned with vintage gaming posters, complete with a computer firing up. It presents the game's iconic lines: "What is your name?" and "What is your girlfriend's name?" It then shows the question, "What is the name of your imaginary girlfriend?" before concluding with the Forgotten Saga logo. The text "Your story, forgotten in legend" was added below the logo, hinting at the arrival of new content.

However, specific information was not confirmed in this teaser. Consequently, users are anticipating a sequel, remake, or remaster arriving after nearly 30 years. Daewon Media plans to disclose further details at the 2026 PlayX4, which will be held from the 21st to the 24th.

Meanwhile, Forgotten Saga is a turn-based RPG released in 1997 by Sonnori, sharing the same universe as 'Astonishia Story'. It gained popularity for its high degree of freedom and excellent background music. However, it was criticized for being released in an unfinished state due to a rushed schedule, and for being plagued by severe, game-breaking bugs. Whether these issues will be resolved in this new project or remake is a point of interest.
