Nexon announced on the 11th that it had successfully concluded its MapleStory Worlds University Union One-Day Bootcamp. Held at the Pangyo office on the 9th, the event was designed to provide aspiring game developers with an opportunity to experience 'MapleStory Worlds' and grow as creators by developing mini-games. MapleStory Worlds is a sandbox platform based on Nexon's MapleStory IP.

The bootcamp saw 60 students from various university game clubs, including Seoul National University, Korea University, Yonsei University, Myongji University, the University of Utah (Asia Campus), and UNIDEV (a nationwide collegiate game development alliance). Divided into beginner and advanced tracks, they completed tasks such as 'Building a Cooperative Apple Game' and 'Creating an Idle RPG.' Participants fostered their passion for game development through knowledge exchange and idea sharing, and actively engaged in lectures and Q&A sessions with professional developers.

Meanwhile, Nexon will begin accepting applications for the 'MapleStory Global Development Contest' starting on the 28th. Additionally, for creators just starting their development journey, the company will host online bootcamps on the last Friday of every month from May to July.
