Kakao Games is rolling out 25 casual titles via its newly minted 'GameChip' hub, tucked neatly inside KakaoTalk.

GameChip is essentially an HTML5-based platform designed to let KakaoTalk users dive straight into gaming without the faff of installing separate apps. You can find it tucked away in the 'More' tab of your KakaoTalk interface.

These 25 initial titles are live on the GameChip platform, with Kakao Games pulling the strings on game sourcing, operational management, and development oversight.

The lineup is split between 6 titles featuring the Kakao Friends IP and 19 other casual games, all aimed at those quick, bite-sized sessions where you can compete with mates or brag about your high scores.

The Kakao Friends selection includes ▲Friends BonBon, ▲Friends Tile Match, ▲Friends 3-Match Puzzle, ▲Jumping Friends, ▲Ryan’s Dessert Sort, and ▲Friends Link Pop. Kakao Games intends to ramp this up, aiming to serve over 50 games within the year.

Alongside those, the casual collection features ▲Whack-A-Mole, ▲Shooting Arrow, ▲Spot the Difference, ▲Merge Defense, ▲Gourmet King Piggy, ▲Bolt & Nut Sort, ▲Apple 10 Crush, ▲Jump Tower, ▲Mine Breaker, ▲Pudding Tower, ▲Forest Friends Connect Puzzle, ▲Touch Touch Basket, ▲Magic Bubble Pot, ▲Twist & Turn Airplane, ▲Cat Island 2048, ▲Flower Match, ▲Match Cat, ▲Forest Lumberjack, and ▲Sand Trees.

Jung Hyun-joo, a manager at Kakao Games, reckons they’ve curated a mix that caters to everyone, from casual gamers to fans of the Kakao Friends IP.
