Akatsuki Games, in a joint production with Toho and Production I.G, has rolled out a seasonal summer update for their RPG, Kaiju No. 8 The Game, introducing the new 5-star character 'Cool Break' Kikoru Shinomiya.

The star of the show is the new 5-star character 'Cool Break' Kikoru Shinomiya, the highest rarity tier in the game. The character sports a water-specialized CLOZER suit—essentially a swimsuit designed by a genius scientist—which is quite the aesthetic pivot. To ensure the action remains as sharp as the character's new look, a new 5-star axe weapon, the Ax-Aryuks, has also been added, specifically tailored to the axe-wielding playstyle of Kikoru Shinomiya.

Alongside the new arrival, a spin-off event titled 'Performance Test on Cool Water' is now live. The event narrative kicks off as Mina Ashiro and Kikoru Shinomiya, both selected as test subjects for the new swimwear gear, head to a water park for final data collection. Naturally, things don't go according to plan; as the testing commences, the pair finds themselves in the middle of an unexpected incident, forcing them to demonstrate the true potential of the new equipment.

Players diving into this event can experience the new story and earn over 1,500 Dimensional Crystals, along with exclusive in-game home backgrounds to spruce up their lobby.
