Riot Games is set to kick off VCT Pacific Stage 2 this coming 16th at the SOOP Colosseum, located in the S-Plex Center in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul. This tournament serves as the stage to select three additional teams for Champions Shanghai, the most prestigious esports tournament in the world, and will run for approximately nine weeks until September 6.

The 12 participating teams are divided into two groups for the group stage. The Alpha group features Nongshim RedForce (NS), Gen.G (GEN), FULL SENSE (FS), Global Esports (GE), Rex Regum Qeon (RRQ), and ZETA DIVISION (ZETA). The Omega group consists of T1, DRX, Paper Rex (PRX), DetonatioN FocusMe (DFM), Team Secret (TS), and Talon Esports (TLN). All matches will be played in a best-of-three, single round-robin format.

The top two teams from each group will advance directly to the playoffs, while the remaining eight teams will head to the play-in stage, introduced for the first time this season. The play-in stage will feature four teams that finished first in their respective regions—Korea, Japan, SEA, and LCQ—competing for a playoff spot in a double-elimination format. The playoffs will feature eight teams, with the lower bracket final and the grand final played as best-of-five matches.

The final week will be held at the Sajik Indoor Gymnasium in Sajik-dong, Dongnae-gu, Busan, from September 4 to 6. The teams advancing to Champions Shanghai will be finalized through this tournament. While Paper Rex has already secured their spot with 22 accumulated Championship Points, the remaining three tickets will be fiercely contested by the other teams.
