SOOP is teaming up with legendary Tekken pro player and streamer 'Knee' Bae Jae-min to host the 'Tekken Stars Cup.' This tournament builds upon the foundation of the 'Knee Tekken Cup,' an event previously run by 'Knee' Bae Jae-min as a personal project.

SOOP and 'Knee' Bae Jae-min have been collaborating to scale up and sharpen the competitive edge of Tekken esports. Since 'Knee' Bae Jae-min moved to the platform and joined KRX, SOOP has supported the organization and broadcast of various dojo events. As a result of these efforts, the event has been upgraded to a 'Challenger Tier' tournament for the Tekken World Tour (TWT) 2026, a milestone achieved for the first time in roughly a decade.

This marks the first TWT Challenger Tier event to take place in Korea. The tournament has secured $2,000 (approximately 2.8 million KRW) in prize money supported by the global publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment. The event will be held offline at the FreecUP Studio in Daechi-dong, Seoul, on the 18th at 11:00 AM. For those attending in person, there will be various activities, including prize draws.

The roster includes the organizer 'Knee' Bae Jae-min, as well as top-tier domestic pros such as KRX's 'LowHigh,' DNS's 'Ulsan,' and Gen.G's 'Mulgold.' Renowned players from Japan, Southeast Asia, Australia, and Europe will also participate in the competition. The matches will be broadcast live globally, with SOOP providing the exclusive official Korean language coverage.
