The official Stardew Valley crochet book is arriving next year

If you have ever wanted to bring the charm of your favourite farming sim into the real world, you are in luck—the official guide is set for release early next year.

Titled 'The Official Stardew Valley Crochet Book', the project has reportedly been developed with direct involvement from the original creator, ConcernedApe. It is packed with unique illustrations and plenty of helpful advice shared by the beloved characters from the game.

The projects featured in the book rely on the art of crochet, a technique using a single hooked needle to weave yarn into three-dimensional dolls and trinkets. This method creates a firm structure, making these handmade pieces perfect for displaying or carrying around. By starting with 25 base patterns, you can branch out into over 45 diverse creations, ranging from crops and minerals to legendary weapons and, yes, those iconic purple shorts.

The difficulty is carefully tiered to welcome everyone, from complete novices to seasoned crafters. You might start by stitching simple monster shapes or round eggs to get the hang of it, before gradually levelling up your skills. Eventually, you will be crafting intricate accessories like the Mermaid’s Pendant used for marriage proposals.

The provided instructions even allow for plenty of personal flair. For instance, you could modify the beak or comb of a standard white chicken to create rare blue or golden varieties. You can also craft a gathering of Forest Spirits and build them a small cottage, complete with seasonal colours, to bring the peaceful atmosphere of the town directly into your living room.

The book is scheduled for release on January 26, 2027, with pre-orders for the Kindle e-book version currently live on Amazon. There is no word yet on a potential Korean edition.
