Devolver Digital announced on the 7th that the brick-breaking roguelite BALL x PIT has surpassed 2 million units in cumulative sales. To celebrate, the publisher released the new Naturalist DLC, bringing a fresh wave of characters, balls, and passive items to the table.

The update introduces two new unlockable characters. The Ball Carrier trades passive item slots for double the ball capacity, allowing for some truly chaotic firepower. On the other hand, the Silver-Haired Collector limits players to just two ball slots but doubles the passive capacity, making it a perfect pick for those who enjoy intricate build crafting.

Beyond the characters, the update adds 11 new balls and 5 passives. Highlights include the Lightning Bug, which summons fireflies that deal lightning damage upon bouncing; the Drill, which pierces foes; and Armageddon, which rains down meteors. New passives include the Platinum Dumbbell for scaling damage based on distance, the Hideous Hammer for auto-targeting enemies after wall bounces, and Remote Detonation, which creates explosive bomb balls when enemies fall.

Naturalist marks the final entry in the free BALL x PIT DLC trilogy, following the previously released Throne and Shadows update.
