Nexon is initiating pre-downloads ahead of the domestic PC service launch for Overwatch, the team-based shooter developed by Blizzard Entertainment.

Starting August 12, the PC version of Overwatch will be serviced via Nexon. You can grab the game client early from the official Overwatch Nexon website. Once the service officially kicks off, players will be able to jump into the action via Nexon.com and the Nexon Plug launcher, alongside the existing Battle.net client.

A trailer detailing the backstory of the Season 4 hero 'D-Mon' has also been released. 'D-Mon', known by the real name Lee Yuna, marks the second South Korean hero to join the roster. Serving as the leader of the MEKA squad alongside D.Va, D-Mon is dedicated to protecting the nation. The footage showcases D-Mon leading the squad against Junkertown raiders invading Busan, while dropping hints about a looming confrontation with the Talon organization.

We were also treated to a gameplay trailer showcasing the hero's kit. Piloting a mech equipped with a plasma blade and shield, D-Mon can deploy a power barrier to guard the front lines or execute a 'Charge Strike', slamming into foes while the shield is active.

Utilising thrusters for rapid lateral movement and a rapid-fire 'Fusion Repeater', D-Mon can effectively engage distant threats. Depending on the tactical situation, D-Mon can unleash the ultimate ability 'Limit Break' to sweep across the front, gaining bonus health and damage, or call down a fresh mech when the current one is destroyed.

Nexon is hosting a pre-account linking event until August 11 ahead of the domestic service launch. Additionally, an offline community event, 'Overwatch Day', is scheduled for August 22 and 23 at Hall 1, BEXCO Exhibition Center 1 in Busan.
