Game of Thrones: Kingsroad rolled out a fresh update on August 19, bringing new territories into the fold. Along with expanding growth caps, the developers introduced a new progression system: the 'Weapon Ignition' enhancement.

Enhanced Weapon Ignition Features

Previously, Weapon Ignition was a straightforward affair—set your blade ablaze and let the enemies feel the burn. It was a handy tool, especially since the lore dictates that wights are particularly susceptible to fire, allowing you to chip away at their resistance gauges with ease.

Now, powering up Weapon Ignition adds an area-of-effect punch, visualised as slicing through a molotov to spray flames onto your foes. You are presented with two paths: 'Weapon Forging' or 'Afterglow'. The latter is for those who prefer pure carnage; it boosts base damage and, at max level, creates a trail of fire on the ground for extra tick damage.

If you are more of a tactical player, 'Weapon Forging' leans into buffs. It grants a 20-second attack power increase, and once maxed out, it slices 15% off your weapon skill cooldowns.

The Currency of Power: 'White Embers'

To upgrade this, you will need a new material called 'White Embers'. The primary source is the 'Black Shadow Drogon Judgement' world boss. You receive 'Embers' as a reward, which have a 10% chance to yield White Embers. The other 90%? Just 'Ash'.

The limit resets every Wednesday at 9:00 AM.For those seeking one-off rewards, White Embers can also be secured by clearing Limit Break Dungeons, restoring ancient books in the Westerlands archives, or completing the 'Rollder' bounty hunt.

If the RNG gods give you Ash instead of White Embers, don't fret. You can craft them at the Apothecary Workshop. A 100% success rate recipe requires 200 Ash, 100 Lignite, and 20 Animal Oil. Lignite drops from 'Weirwood Memories', while Animal Oil is a simple matter of hunting wildlife in the field.
