Ubisoft revealed Heroes of Might and Magic III Remake during the Gamescom Opening Night Live broadcast held on August 26. The original title dropped back in 1999, revolving around an epic clash of eight factions fighting for supremacy across the continent of Erathia. Featuring a robust campaign mode and tactical depth that heavily built upon its predecessors, the classic still holds a fond place in the hearts of many veterans today.

This newly unveiled remake packs both the base game and two expansions into a single package. Supporting up to 4K resolution, players can dive into overhauled visual effects, refined animations, and a modernised soundscape. There are nine factions in total, each boasting distinct playstyles and unique units. You will be exploring maps, securing resources and artifacts, upgrading towns, and nurturing heroes alongside your armies.

On top of that, the developers have woven the original campaigns into a unified narrative, complete with a fresh prologue, epilogue, and cinematic sequences. You can also expect a map editor, online multiplayer supporting up to eight players simultaneously, and local turn-based matches.
