Major9 has officially launched the PC version of its self-developed and published sub-culture RPG, Outerplane, via the global gaming platform Steam on August 27. The company explains that this Steam release aims to expand the game's platform footprint beyond mobile and broaden touchpoints with players worldwide who crave flexibility in their gaming setups.

Outerplane is an anime-style RPG driven by strategic turn-based combat. Featuring over 100 characters, it boasts dynamic 3D skill animations that highlight each character's unique traits alongside tactical squad building. To help newcomers settle in and test out the roster, the developer is tossing in up to 1,000 free summons. Back in July, the onboarding experience was overhauled by revamping tutorials and story progression flows.

Major9 is also packing its bags for Tokyo Game Show 2026, running from September 17 to 21 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan, to meet local fans and global gamers alike. You can find the Outerplane booth at Hall 8, C19. Meanwhile, a domestic user meetup for players in South Korea is scheduled for September 5 to swap feedback and outline the roadmap for the latter half of the year. On top of all that, October marks the first anniversary of Major9 taking over publishing duties.
