HoYoverse announced on the 31st that Zenless Zone Zero version 3.2, 'Their Hidden Past', will be officially released on September 9. This update packs the introduction of the new agent trait 'Forged', along with fresh story developments and various event contents.

First off, the new agent trait 'Forged' is making its debut. Forged is an agent trait that handles both dealing and defense simultaneously, utilizing the 'Surge' system and multiple critical hit mechanics. The very first Forged agent, the head of the Flint Workshop and S-rank Electric attribute Forged agent 'Claret', is scheduled to appear in the first half of this version. Claret accumulates residual trace stats on enemies and triggers 'Surge' to deal bonus damage, shaping combat around defense, critical hit rate, and critical hit damage.

In the second half, 'Roxy', the chief Forged master of the Flint Workshop and an S-rank Wind attribute Stun agent, joins the roster. Roxy can generate and detonate tornadoes centered around the 'Eye of the Wind', which should bring quite a fresh combat experience. In the main story of version 3.2, the Proxy crew heads to the hidden reef special zone 'Virium' to treat an abnormal power within their bodies. Along the way, the crew investigates the disappearance case of Porceloy from the Flint Workshop, inching closer to the truth of the matter.

As for returning agents, S-rank agent 'Namgung Woo' and the exclusive W-Engine will make a comeback in the first half, while S-rank agent 'Promia' and the corresponding exclusive W-Engine will return in the second half. Moreover, users logging into the game during the version period will receive 10 Encrypted Master Tapes and 10 「Bangboo」 Tickets. Completing designated attendance missions in the additional 14-day check-in event, 'Surprise Screening Project', yields a choice of 1 AOD costume.

Aside from those, a virtual pet raising event 'Ta-da! Roundy's Growth Diary', a Boastrum detective series event 'The Lame Crow Detective Record', and an HIA virtual combat event 'Virtual Shadow Chase' will open sequentially, showering players with generous rewards like Polychromes and Tuning Tuners. The permanent content 'Bizarre Labyrinth: Bagel Project' rolls out a season update featuring some Z-grade valuables, character armaments, advanced challenges, server-wide rankings, and a reset of season missions.

Meanwhile, HoYoverse is showcasing Zenless Zone Zero at 'HoYoLAND 2026' from October 2 to 5. Detailed programmes for the event will be revealed at a later date.
