Look, Cygames announced on August 3rd that the official eSports tournament for Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond, titled Shadowverse Korea Open 2026 Season 2 (hereinafter referred to as SKO 2026 Season 2), will kick off this coming October. The publisher is putting up a total prize pool of 20,000,000 KRW, with the winner walking away with a hefty 10,000,000 KRW and a coveted ticket to the world championship in Japan.

Registration for the tournament opens on August 18th and runs until October 1st via the Shadowverse WB Tournament Navigator app (hereinafter ShadowNavi WB). Anyone residing in South Korea who is at least 16 years old as of the preliminary date can apply. To sweeten the deal, Cygames is handing out the Shadowverse Korea Open Season 2 Original Emblem to every single participant.

The action starts with online qualifiers and playoffs on October 10th, followed by the offline finals on October 18th. The qualifiers will use a Swiss system featuring best-of-three (BO3) matches with two decks, running up to seven rounds. Two losses mean an immediate exit, while players with one loss or fewer advance to the playoffs. Held on the same day right after the qualifiers, the playoffs will utilize a single-elimination tournament format, best-of-three (BO3) with two decks, spanning up to two rounds to narrow down the field to the top eight finalists.

The finals will crown the ultimate champion through a single-elimination tournament, best-of-three (BO3) with two decks. The winner secures 10,000,000 KRW in prize money alongside a golden ticket to represent South Korea at the Shadowverse World Grand Prix 2026 in Japan, a massive global showdown boasting a staggering 100,000,000 JPY grand prize (approximately 870,000,000 KRW).

For the runners-up, Cygames has allocated 5,000,000 KRW for second place, 1,400,000 KRW each for third and fourth, and 550,000 KRW each for fifth through eighth places. Top performers beyond the champion will also earn the right to compete in international online tournaments such as the Shadowverse International Wildcard Qualifier 2026.
