Analyzing Class Share Shifts Before and After the Class Change Season

First off, let us check out the combat power rankings and the class shares among the top rankers in Arthdal Chronicles. For the class distribution section, we compared the shares right before the class change tickets went on sale on August 24 with the post-closure snapshot on September 7.

Among the top 20 combat power rankers, Nightmarish (Yunseul) and AstaLuck3 ditched their Holy Knights to become Warriors. Their timing was slightly different, though. AstaLuck3 had already made the leap by last week's tally, whereas Nightmarish (Yunseul) pulled the trigger just before the ticket sales ended.

The class shares in the TOP 100 bracket barely budged. Warriors simply siphoned a mere 2 percentage points from the Stormbringers.On the flip side, rankers sitting in the TOP 101 to 500 range were aggressively swapping classes. Every single class except for Dual Swordsmen, Stormbringers, and Holy Knights saw some movement in their shares. Warriors took the biggest hit, shedding 1.8 percentage points. Among the classes that managed to grow their slice of the pie, Assassins and Priests are worth noting. Assassins gained 1 percentage point, while Priests picked up 0.8 percentage points. The gap between these two has shrunk to a razor-thin 0.2 percentage points as they fiercely battle for the number two and three spots in popularity. Archery still holds the crown at number one, cementing its dominance in this bracket with an extra 0.5 percentage points.

While they command massive shares among the elite rankers, their presence drops off a cliff in the mid-tiers and below, sitting at a meager 4% for Warriors and 2% for Holy Knights. The Black Night 5th Archipelago is likely the culprit here. Farming efficiently in that zone demands a combat power of 180,000 or higher, where these two classes boast absurdly high efficiency—an advantage completely lost below that threshold. That exact reason explains the disparity in their shares.

What About Class Shares in the New World?

So, how are class shares looking in the New World of Arthdal Chronicles? Archers have taken over the six servers with an undisputed chokehold, sitting comfortably on the throne with a whopping 39% share. Stormbringers follow in second place with 22%. The gap between the runner-up and the rest of the pack is genuinely massive. If you exclude Assassins, the overall share distribution mirrors that of the legacy servers' 101st to 500th ranks. That is because ranged classes vastly outperform melee options in hunting efficiency across the Black Night 4th Archipelago and lower zones, giving players a massive edge in boss contribution. It also makes clearing the main quests significantly less of a headache. Sure, Warriors and Holy Knights start showing better performance once they breach the Black Night 5th Archipelago, but breaking into that zone on the New World Season 1 servers is a distant dream, meaning this meta is here to stay.

The low adoption rate of Assassins is another detail setting the New World apart from the legacy servers. For an Assassin to actually deal decent damage while hunting, they need the Hero-grade Death's Messenger and Flash Strike, plus the Hero passive skill Swift Visitor snagged from the Halls of Permafrost. Since rounding up all those skills on the New World Season 1 servers is an uphill battle, players have largely given Assassins the cold shoulder. Expect their numbers to climb eventually once a healthy chunk of top rankers finally manage to unlock those elusive skills.

How Do All-Server Average Combat Power Rankings Look?

Moving on to the server-wide average combat power rankings. Last week was an absolute mess of shifting server ranks, top dogs, and alliances thanks to the server transfers. Things have finally settled down now that the dust has settled, resulting in far fewer ranking upsets. The most notable milestone is that the legacy server Nandal Mountain has officially broken past the 180,000 average combat power mark.While the 6th-ranked Mihaje didn't quite breach the 180,000 wall, it still managed to bump up its average combat power, successfully closing the gap with Nandal Mountain down to 7,776.

Over in the New World, Leo became the first to smash through the 100,000 threshold, simultaneously closing the distance with Crabon, the lowest-ranked legacy server. Last week, the average combat power gap between those two servers sat at 14,661, but it has shrunk to 13,159 this week. The reigning combat power titan on the Leo server is the Priest Eozer, boasting a combat power of 154,878. That represents a growth spurt of 8,183 compared to last week.

What About Alliance Score Rankings Across All Servers?

Let us talk about alliance rankings in Arthdal Chronicles. This week, Dae Nong Jang from Nandal Mountain and the Nyang Nyang alliance from Aramun Haesla are turning heads with impressive upward momentum. Dae Nong Jang jumped two spots from 7th to 5th, padding its alliance score by over 13 billion.

Nyang Nyang leaped from 13th last week straight up to 9th. The sheer scale of its alliance score explosion is staggering, shooting up from 36.4 billion to 85.6 billion. Elsewhere, Yunseul Black Label and Humility climbed the ladder, while ECLIPSE and Devil cracked the TOP 20. Naturally, this alliance climb left casualties in its wake, pushing down the rankings for groups like Mihaje Black Label and Yunseul White Label.

How Are the Archipelago Score Rankings Shaping Up?

The race for archipelago scores is heating up to a boiling point. Not only has the ceiling risen, but the scores of the TOP 20 rankers are miles ahead of last week. Back then, the top spot belonged to Crazy Baldy with 53.7 billion, while Chivalry rounded out the 20th spot with 24.3 billion. This week, Crazy man sits at the peak with 59.0 billion, and Heavenly Sword guards the 20th position with 46.9 billion. Furthermore, the club of rankers boasting over 50 billion points has expanded to 15 players—an increase of 14 compared to last week.

The primary suspect behind this sudden inflation is the server transfer mechanic, which wipes archipelago scores clean upon moving. The 2nd-place ranker Chivalry makes for a textbook example. Two weeks ago, Chivalry was repping Inaishinki and comfortably sat at 5th place in archipelago scores, only to crash down to 20th after transferring to Aramun Haesla last week. Since this week's data reflects a fully stabilized post-transfer environment, we can safely assume the fierce competition has simply returned to its natural rhythm.On top of that, the sheer representation of Aramun Haesla rankers is staggering, claiming both the 1st through 5th spots and the 11th through 16th spots entirely for themselves.
