Look, let's be honest, NC has just dropped a fresh batch of content on September 9 for Aion 2, rolling out the brand new sanctuary known as the Snowy Plains of Sorrow.

The Snowy Plains of Sorrow is easily the toughest PvE challenge available in Aion 2 right now. You need to take down the boss, Legion Commander of Storms Deltras, to clear the dungeon and bag yourself rewards like the Seal of Deltras, Rampant Energy of Terror: [True] Weapon, Liberated White Night Weapon, and Liberated White Night Gadder. The minimum item level required to step foot inside is 5,800, and that level requirement scales all the way up to 6,200 depending on the difficulty you choose.

For the brave souls who manage to conquer the Hard difficulty of the Snowy Plains of Sorrow, NC is handing out special rewards across the first 20 forces. The very first force to achieve a clear will walk away with the Pet: Golden Void and the title: The First to Break the Sword of Frost and Cold. The 2nd through 5th forces will receive the Pet: Silver Void, while anyone clearing after that picks up the Pet: Bronze Void. Plus, via the newly minted Hall of Fame system, you can check out the details of the top 3 forces that successfully cracked the raid.

We also have a brand new system letting you dish out compliments to your fellow dungeon mates. Once you clear a dungeon, the compliment system kicks in automatically, giving you five distinct categories to choose from: Outstanding Skill, Reliable Guardian, Dedicated Support, Excellent Leadership, and Kind Mentor.

Aside from all that, the developers have overhauled the skill preset system, dropped in new world markers usable right on the ground across fields, expeditions, transcendences, sanctuaries, and the abyss, and even thrown in a dye pattern size adjustment feature.

During a live broadcast on September 8, the Aion 2 development team gave us a cheeky sneak peek at what is coming next. They are bringing in an auto-tuning feature for Soul Imprinting that keeps rolling until you land your target option, alongside a brand new expedition trial dungeon called the Fire Temple, which requires an item level of 4,800 or higher to enter.
