Look, let's be honest about spreading hope to future generations. Smilegate Hope Studio and Yonsei University Health System announced on August 19 that they have carried out medical support volunteer work for children with cleft lip and palate in Vietnam. This initiative was arranged to provide surgical and medical support for young patients whose conditions worsened after missing the optimal treatment timing due to poor economic and medical conditions in Vietnam, while also delivering hope to guardians.

The volunteer work took place from August 15 to 17 at the Da Nang Hospital for Women and Children in Vietnam. Smilegate Hope Studio and Yonsei University Health System have maintained cooperation to support children with cleft lip and palate in Vietnam since 2017, and approximately 2,000 children and guardians have benefited so far.

A total of 21 people participated on-site, including 13 medical staff members led by Dean Jung Young-soo of Yonsei University College of Dentistry, content creators Kim Kwang-tae, Kim Min-kyung, Kkon-ya, and Gyang-maesil from the volunteer group Crayon, and representatives from Smilegate Hope Studio. Under the concept of 'GIVE for SMILE', the volunteer team carried out various activities to bring smiles to the children and guardians. Participants provided opportunities for self-expression through programs where children decorated hats, shoes, and t-shirts together, and also delivered gifts consisting of keyrings and stationery. Updates on the creators' on-site activities were broadcasted live through the Smilegate Hope Studio YouTube channel.

Content creator Kim Kwang-tae shared thoughts, saying, "Coming to the site in person made the poor environment feel real. I hope that the time created through our small talents and fans' attention became a slightly happy memory for the children and their families." Executive Director Kwon Yeon-joo of Smilegate Hope Studio mentioned, "We hope that this activity, which combined the efforts of Yonsei University Health System, Crayon creators, and fans, provided practical help to the children in Vietnam," and added that the platform will continue to fulfill its role so that the expertise of professionals, the talent of creators, and the good hearts of fans can contribute to solving social issues.

Meanwhile, Smilegate Hope Studio is currently running the donation campaign 'Bring a Smile to Children with Cleft Lip and Palate' FUNding until September 10. The donations raised through this campaign will be used entirely to purchase and support special baby bottles dedicated to children with cleft lip and palate, without deducting operational costs. Smilegate Hope Studio is spreading a fun donation culture through a gamification-based platform in cooperation with hope partners such as various game companies and IPs, delivering hope to future generations.
