Pan Studio announced that it has rolled out the version 1.7 'Into the Dawn' update for its fantasy RPG, Duet Night Abyss.

The core content of this update is a fresh take on the fan-favourite character Rhythm, introducing 'Rhythm: Revived Flame'. This character wields the lightning element and showcases a combat style combining a one-handed sword and a hand cannon. Players can acquire the character for free via 'Request Letters' or purchase them through the shop.

Alongside the arrival of 'Rhythm: Revived Flame', a brand-new event story titled 'Into the Dawn' has also been unlocked. Set in Ice Lake City—a chilly place battered by cold winds and featuring a dormant lighthouse—the narrative unfolds around a girl bringing warmth to the people. This story remains permanently open after the update, allowing players to experience another side of Rhythm in the fresh storyline. The character story event 'She Who Will Become a Beacon', which delves deeply into Rhythm's narrative, will run until November 30.

New weapons and progression content have also landed, with the hand cannon 'The Weight of Living' making its debut in this update. The longbow 'Mad Hatter's Banquet' and the disaster weapon one-handed sword 'The Insoluble Riddle' are scheduled to roll out sequentially on November 10. These new weapons can be obtained for free through forging or purchased from the shop, letting players experiment with a variety of combat styles.

New 'Devil's Wedges' and corresponding blueprints for character and weapon progression have also been introduced. Players can craft their own combat builds using contents boasting brand-new effects such as 'Fenrir's Mighty Hunt', 'Fenrir's Disruption', and 'Summanus's Immovable Resolve'. Furthermore, acquisition paths for several existing 'Devil's Wedges' have been adjusted to improve progression convenience.

A slew of events and rewards commemorating the update have been prepared as well. In the 'Immersive Play' event running from the 20th to November 10, players can dive directly into the narrative to earn time-limited rewards such as the request letter for 'Rhythm: Revived Flame' and the request letter for the new weapon 'The Weight of Living'. Through the cumulative login event 'The Coming Tomorrow', players can secure 10 'Lustrous Hourglasses', while a colourful array of events including 'Festival Commemorative Gift', 'Treasure Hunting Training', 'Harvest Day', 'Starlight Tour', and 'Eternal Nightmare' will roll out in sequence. Notably, the 'Treasure Hunting Training' lets players tackle various training stages to scoop up abundant rewards.

Special events centered around character costumes are waiting in the wings too. Through 'Midnight River of Oblivion', time-limited reruns of the 'Whispering Oddities' costumes for 'Pina' and 'Rhythm' will be featured. Starting November 10, the 'Candy Dream Factory' event kicks off, revealing brand-new 'Candy Full House' series costumes for 'Lisabell' and 'Truffle & Hazelnut'. Beyond these, various events like 'Immersive Play Shared Stage', 'Civilization Clash', 'Toward the Peak', and 'Wuyusheng's Bizarre Adventure' will drop sequentially, adding fresh challenges and rewarding fun. The 'Bard's Book of Poetry: Starlight Melody' has also been updated, letting players unlock the collectible poetry book to claim the 'Call of the Whole World One-Handed Sword'.
