Newgem Studio has rolled out a spooky Halloween update for its free-to-play idle RPG, TBH: Task Bar Hero, currently available on Steam.

TBH: Task Bar Hero lets you run a tiny pixelated adventure right inside your Windows taskbar while you pretend to work. Featuring 3 acts, 4 difficulty settings, over 50 monsters, and more than 500 items, the idle RPG made quite a splash when it launched on Steam last May. In fact, within just two weeks, the developer hit a peak of 540,000 Concurrent Players, shooting straight to second place in the Steam Concurrent Players charts.

The Halloween event brings a limited-time dungeon running until November 11, alongside some festive seasonal skins. Meanwhile, fresh content arrives in the form of 'Relic Boxes' and 'Relics'. You can loot these items from the Plague Lands and corrupted Act Boss areas, while the type of Relic Box determines which Relics and how many you can equip.

Quality-of-life tweaks are part of the package, too. The Plague Lands now clearly display drop rate bonuses for high-tier loot across different difficulties, backed by brand new achievements. Cube crafting also gets a sensible upgrade with a recipe-locking option, and a new Material Storage DLC is available for purchase.
