Word on the street is that a 256GB SSD simply will not cut it for the pre-installation of Phantom Blade Zero, the heavily anticipated title slated for release on the 28th.

On the 26th, S-Game took to the official X to update the community with a pre-load announcement for the upcoming title Phantom Blade Zero, alongside the final PC system requirements. Phantom Blade Zero is S-Game's fresh martial arts action game, which has already drawn praise for its flashy, weapon-dependent action sequences. However, what really caught everyone's attention in the announcement was the sudden revelation that players need to free up a whopping minimum of 300GB of disk space.

Phantom Blade Zero requires an SSD as the bare minimum storage spec. But with the cost of storage hardware skyrocketing lately, demanding games asking for massive gigabytes has become quite the headache for players everywhere. While the actual installed game size sits at around 145GB, players need to clear out at least 300GB of free space upfront to accommodate the temporary workspace needed for decompression during the pre-download process, leaving many gamers in absolute shock.

Meanwhile, the main recommended specs for Phantom Blade Zero are listed as 16GB of RAM paired with either an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti 8GB or an AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT 12GB. On the flip side, the minimum specs call for a GeForce GTX 1660 6GB or an AMD Radeon RX 550 XT 8GB, keeping hopes reasonably high for a well-optimised experience.
