Fresh content has arrived, making it a fair bit easier to tailor those stats to your liking.

Com2uS announced on the 25th that they have rolled out a beefy update for 'Summoners War: Chronicle' (hereafter 'Chronicle'), headlined by a total overhaul of the Artifact system. This latest patch introduces new growth mechanics—namely 'Combination' and 'Upgrade'—allowing players to tinker with Artifact stats more freely than ever before.

The 'Combination' system lets players graft stats from Hero or Rare grade Artifacts onto others using 'Artifact Seeds', which are scavenged by dismantling existing Artifacts. You are restricted to combinations within the same class, but the good news is that these attempts are guaranteed successes. The source Artifact isn't destroyed in the process, meaning you can experiment without the usual fear of losing your kit. Meanwhile, 'Upgrade' allows players to dump Artifact Seeds into an item to boost stats like Attack, Defense, or HP, with the ability to reroll until you find a stat line that suits your build.

Inventory management has also seen some much-needed quality-of-life tweaks. Legend grade Artifacts, which were previously locked behind specialized crafting, can now be pulled directly from the 'Artifact Nucleus Summon' tab. Furthermore, Starlight Mileage rewards have been rejigged to offer a '5-Star Legend Artifact Selection Ticket', making it significantly less of a grind to secure top-tier gear. They have also added an auto-dismantle feature, which is a massive time-saver for filtering out unwanted loot based on your specific criteria.

Six new Constellations tailored to specific Summoner classes have also been added to the mix. Players can now pick constellations that align with their playstyle, such as 'Draco' for Knight types, 'Taurus' for Warrior types, or 'Monoceros' for Support types. If you have already powered up existing constellations to Rare grade or higher, you can convert them over to these new ones. Additionally, 'Magic Stones'—which were previously a 'set it and forget it' affair—now support a removal feature, making it much more efficient to swap around gear and Rune settings for your Summoners and creatures.

Naturally, Com2uS is marking the occasion with a few celebratory events. From now until August 13th, players can earn rewards like 5-Star Legend Artifact Selection Tickets, Artifact Nuclei, and Sealing Tools just by engaging with the new Combination and Upgrade systems. Additionally, until the 30th, players can complete daily tasks to earn raffle tickets, which can be exchanged for a variety of useful items.
