A fresh piece of content has landed, tasking players with arranging 12 puzzle pieces to bolster their stats.

On the 30th, ESTgames announced a summer update for Cabal Online, headlined by the new 'Monolith Enigma' content.

The 'Monolith Enigma' allows players to collect 12 puzzle pieces through dungeons and various gameplay loops, placing them on a board to tailor their character's growth path. By mixing and matching various shapes and grades of puzzles, players can carve out their own unique progression.

Furthermore, a 'Season Mission' system has been introduced to nudge players toward engaging with the game's various offerings more naturally. By clearing both permanent and limited-time missions, players can snag rewards that aid their progression. The developer has also smoothed out the experience by adding buttons for instant travel to mission dungeons or NPCs and streamlined UI access.

The update also brings a modern makeover to the visual elements of three major hubs: 'Bloody Ice', 'Desert Scream', and 'Green Despair'. From backgrounds to NPCs and monsters, these areas are receiving a facelift. The developer intends to roll this out sequentially, aiming to keep that classic Cabal atmosphere while offering a more refined and immersive graphical experience.

The developer has also pushed through several quality-of-life adjustments. UI improvements for merit medal exchanges, evaluations, reports, and support/cancel commands aim to make these systems less of a headache. Additionally, the mail system now supports more attachments, and the process for claiming items and Alz has been significantly polished.

Meanwhile, to celebrate the update, ESTgames is rolling out a series of events providing various items to help players progress.
