The tense psychological warfare of deducing the 'Impostor' in Among Us just got a massive shake-up with the addition of a new role: the 'Judge'. This character holds the power to eject any crewmate regardless of the vote, though such unchecked power comes with a sharp, potentially self-destructive sting.

Innersloth rolled out the 'Judge' role on August 19. As the name implies, this role is built for decisive action against potential Impostors. During meetings, the Judge can invoke an 'Overrule' ability to send anyone packing, effectively overriding the collective vote of the crew, even if someone else was already pegged for the airlock.

However, wielding such power requires a level head. If the Judge misfires and ejects an innocent crewmate, the Judge is immediately ejected in their stead—a quick trip to game-over status. Furthermore, this 'Overrule' is a single-use ability per match. If multiple Judges are present, the first to trigger the ability takes precedence, while others must wait for a subsequent meeting.

Beyond this, various quality-of-life tweaks have arrived. A new guide now helps players track participants, roles, and settings. Additionally, the Tracker's interrogation ability, which reveals player locations at the time of a kill, now includes a cooldown period.
