Battlefield 6 is an FPS from EA set to launch on October 11. It has captured attention by promising to recapture the classic feel that predates the heavily criticized Battlefield 2042. Following the public test from the 9th to the 10th, a second round of testing is slated for the 14th through the 17th.

The Battlefield 6 test kicked off with early access for those who received codes on the 7th. Even before the servers went live, 50,000 people were queuing up, and the count jumped to 250,000 concurrent players on Steam the moment testing began. By the time the test wrapped up on the 10th, the figure reached a peak of 521,079 concurrent players. Considering that a significant number of players are likely using the EA app, the level of hype is quite undeniable.

Meanwhile, the development team is busy battling the perennial FPS scourge: hackers and cheaters. An official from the EA Anti-Cheat team noted on the official forum on the 8th that "Javelin has blocked approximately 330,000 instances of anti-cheat program manipulation and fraudulent activities since the start of the test." The official added, "Anti-cheat is a constantly evolving battlefield, so please continue to report suspicious activities."
