First unveiled during the Honkai: Star Rail 2nd Anniversary Concert last May, the new title 'Honkai: Nexus Anima' is now heading into a closed beta test.

HoYoverse announced on the 29th that recruitment for the first closed beta test of 'Honkai: Nexus Anima' is officially underway. The game, which inherits the Honkai lineage, is billed as an 'Anima-raising adventure strategy game.' The narrative centers on the 'Nexus' (or 'bond')—an invisible link connecting opposing concepts such as love and hate, light and darkness, and life and death.

The story kicks off as the world order collapses, shattering bonds across the globe and scattering their residual power as 'Anima.' Players take on the role of a dimension-hopping traveler who has escaped confinement. Through combat and various missions, players forge bonds with these Anima, gaining the ability to manipulate their core concepts. The gameplay loop focuses on combining these powers for infinite tactical variety while exploring a sprawling world map. In what the publisher calls a fresh start, the game features a world-view and system entirely distinct from its predecessors.

This closed beta test will be available on PC and iOS platforms. You can apply for participation on the official 'Honkai: Nexus Anima' website starting from the 29th until September 12th. Participants will be selected via a raffle among those who submit an application and survey. Specific test dates will be shared in a future announcement.
