Girls' Frontline, a mobile game previously available on Steam only in China, has confirmed its release in Japan, signaling a potential expansion. However, its domestic service in Korea remains unconfirmed.

On the 4th, the official Japanese social media account for Girls' Frontline announced the news, stating: "Commanders! The release of the Steam version of Girls' Frontline has been decided. You can now enjoy the story and combat on PC. We will announce the release date and store page at a later time."

However, this news was not announced on the Korean or global official social media channels. Consequently, speculation has arisen that this may be a Japan-exclusive service rather than a global release. Gamemeca has reached out to the developer and publisher, XD, regarding this matter and is currently awaiting a response.

The Steam version of Girls' Frontline has been available in China since early this year. It has not been specified whether this Japanese release will involve adding access for the Japanese region to the existing Chinese Steam page or launching a separate Steam page for Japanese users.
