The indie game platform Gameping has launched the 10-Minute Game Contest, centering on the theme of 'Games from Back Then'.

The contest features 44 entries that reimagine classic Flash games of yore. The submissions span a diverse range of genres, including action, puzzles, simulations, and rhythm games, even drawing inspiration from childhood pastimes like eraser wrestling and 'alkkagi'.

These titles boast an average playtime of around 10 minutes and require no installations or registrations, as they run directly in your web browser. The evaluation period runs until September 30, and everyone is invited to the Gameping website to play and participate in the evaluation.

The 10-Minute Game Contest aims to provide domestic developers with practical experience. Gameping CEO Park Jong-hyuk stated, "The goal is to offer a stage where developers can practice and receive feedback without any pressure." He added, "Thanks to those who resonated with this vision, the contest successfully concluded by reaching 112% of its funding goal, and we will continue to create excellent opportunities moving forward."
