Krafton has rolled out update 38.2 for 'PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS'. This latest patch introduces a collaboration with the iconic automotive brand Porsche and brings a series of tweaks to the Rondo map. For those playing on consoles, the migration to current-gen hardware is set for the 13th.

The star of the show is the Porsche partnership. You can now deck out your ride with new skins for the 'Panamera Turbo S', '911 Carrera GTS', and the 'Cayenne Turbo GT'. It’s not just about the branding; you can customise everything from the exterior colour and wheels to the brake calipers and even the number plates, with over 20 unique options available. To keep the grind going, they’ve introduced the 'Workshop Pass: Porsche', which lets you earn rewards like Porsche Tokens and Porsche Loot Caches.

Rondo is getting a bit of a facelift, too. The developers have decided to remove the Market and its associated features—say goodbye to Pillar Guards, BR Coins, and safes. Areas like Lo Hua Xing and Rin Jiang have been adjusted, while garage locations have been shifted and new fixed vehicle spawns added. Furthermore, the map’s terrain has been flattened in places, and some of those shallow water zones have been converted into standard traversable ground.

If you fancy yourself a bit of a racer, the Test Track has been overhauled with a new Lap Time tracking feature. You can now record your runs and see how you stack up against the competition. This feature is also popping up on the starting island, so you can warm up before the match kicks off. Other fresh additions include Secret Rooms, Vending Machines, and various destructible objects like pots and gas tanks.

Finally, the shift for console players announced back in August is officially here with update 38.2. From now on, PUBG will be exclusively optimised for current-gen hardware, specifically the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, promising a much smoother performance and a better overall environment.
