The League of Legends 'Mid-Season Invitational (MSI)', which determines the top team for the first half of the year, will be held in Daejeon.

Riot Games announced the host cities for next year's major tournaments via the official League of Legends Esports X (Twitter) account on the 7th. First, the 'First Stand Tournament', an international event introduced this year, will be held in São Paulo, Brazil. The number of participating teams will increase from 5 to 8, with two teams each from South Korea and China.

Following this, the MSI will be hosted in Daejeon. This marks the first time the MSI has been held in South Korea in four years, since Busan in 2022. The tournament will feature 11 teams, and the winning team will secure a direct spot in the League of Legends World Championship main event. Gen.G lifted the trophy at this year's MSI after defeating T1.

Finally, the League of Legends World Championship will be held in Texas and New York. The Play-in Stage, Swiss Stage, quarter-finals, and semi-finals will take place in Texas, while the grand final will be held in New York. This year's tournament was held in China, and kt Rolster and T1 are set to compete for the title in the final in Chengdu on the 9th.
