An asymmetric battle game based on the carnival classic 'goldfish scooping' has just hit Steam.

Titled 'Battle of Goldfish Scooping', the game tasks players with choosing a side: either the scooper or the goldfish themselves. It is a rather unique structure for a competitive title.

If you are playing as the scoopers, your goal is to net as many fleeing fish as possible within the time limit, which requires a surprising amount of finesse. Conversely, the goldfish team must dodge those incoming nets while gathering glowing orbs floating in the water. Even if you get scooped, you can still wiggle your way out to freedom. Both teams share the same tank, but they are playing entirely different games to secure victory.

As matches progress, you can enhance your abilities. Whether it is shoring up the paper durability of your net or boosting your goldfish's stamina, there is a solid progression system here. You can fine-tune your build to suit your playstyle, which encourages continuous play. While it is scooper versus goldfish, it is a multiplayer affair; you will find yourself competing against your own teammates for those precious catches and orbs.
