Amazon Games and Crystal Dynamics made a major announcement at The Game Awards (TGA) on December 11, unveiling two upcoming entries in the Tomb Raider franchise. The showcase featured the reveal of a new major title, 'Tomb Raider: Catalyst'. Additionally, 'Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis', a remake of the 1996 original series title, was also announced. Both titles are scheduled for release on PC via Steam, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.

'Catalyst' is a project that has been in development since 2022, marking the collaboration between Amazon Games and Crystal Dynamics. In this installment, protagonist Lara Croft embarks on an adventure set in Northern India. The story takes place in the aftermath of a mythological disaster, where ancient secrets have been unearthed, drawing treasure hunters from across the globe. Lara must reach the 'truth buried in the fractured land' before they do. Players will explore tombs filled with complex puzzles and utilize a new piece of equipment called 'Adventure Tech'.

'Legacy of Atlantis', co-developed by Crystal Dynamics and Flying Wild Hog, was also revealed. As a remake of the 1996 original, it features modern graphics powered by Unreal Engine 5, contemporary game design, and new content that respects the atmosphere and spirit of the original. Players will step into the shoes of Lara Croft to explore exotic locations, navigate dangerous terrain, and search for pieces of the 'Scion' artifact.

In both titles, Lara Croft will be voiced by Alix Wilton Regan. Alix Wilton Regan has previously contributed to titles such as 'Dragon Age: Inquisition', 'Cyberpunk 2077', and 'Mass Effect 3'.

Tomb Raider: Catalyst is scheduled for release in 2027, and Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is set for 2026. Both titles will support the Korean language.
