Following the announcement of the nominees on November 25, the final results for the 2025 Steam Awards are finally here.

Valve pulled back the curtain on the 4th, revealing the champions of the '2025 Steam Awards' as decided by user votes during the Winter Sale. This annual tradition celebrates the titles that captured our collective attention, with the Steam community ultimately holding the keys to the kingdom for each category.

The ceremony covered 11 categories in total, ranging from 'Game of the Year' and 'VR Game of the Year' to 'Labor of Love' and 'Best on Steam Deck'. Each category serves as a litmus test for a title's polish, creative flair, and commitment to long-term support.

Taking the crown for Game of the Year is none other than 'Hollow Knight: Silksong'. Judged on the holy trinity of gameplay, narrative, and design—not to mention its overall polish—the community has spoken. 'Hollow Knight: Silksong' also walked away with the 'Best Game You Suck At' award. 'Hollow Knight: Silksong' arrived on September 4 as the long-awaited successor to the original masterpiece, inviting players to explore a vast, cursed kingdom in this challenging new metroidvania.

Moving on to VR, 'The Midnight Walk' snagged the 'VR Game of the Year' for pushing the boundaries of virtual immersion. Meanwhile, the 'Labor of Love' award, reserved for titles that developers just refuse to stop updating, went to the ever-enduring 'Baldur's Gate 3'.

For those of us gaming on the go, 'Hades 2' took home the 'Best on Steam Deck' prize, while 'Peak' dominated the 'Better With Friends' category for its stellar co-op experience. Furthermore, 'Silent Hill f' claimed the 'Outstanding Visual Style' award, and 'ARC Raiders' walked away with the 'Most Innovative Gameplay' trophy for its experimental design.

Rounding things out, 'Clair Obscur: Expedition 33' earned the 'Best Soundtrack' award for its exceptional score. The 'Outstanding Story-Rich Game' award went to 'Dispatch', while 'Are We There Yet?' was crowned the perfect 'Sit Back and Relax' experience.
