This bumper update brings a Resort Hotel managed by the Kapp'n family, an overhauled dream world you can customise to your heart's content, a cheeky batch of collaborations featuring The Legend of Zelda, and some much-needed storage expansion. To mark the occasion, a special Nintendo Switch 2 edition has also hit the shelves.

Nintendo of Korea rolled out the 3.0 update on the 15th, alongside the launch of the Switch 2 edition. If you already own the game, simply update your software to dive into the 3.0 version. The highlight is undoubtedly the Resort Hotel; you’ll be helping the Kapp'n family renovate rooms and styling guests to earn coupons, which can be traded for classic Nintendo consoles like the Famicom.

Dreaming in-game has received a massive upgrade too. You can now reshape the terrain in your dream world—digging rivers or carving cliffs—and place furniture or trees wherever you fancy. Look out for collaboration items inspired by The Legend of Zelda, Splatoon, and LEGO. To top it off, they’ve boosted storage from 5,000 to 9,000 slots and introduced the Resetti Cleanup Centre, a godsend for tidying up cluttered areas in one go.

For those picking up the Nintendo Switch 2 edition, the experience is significantly sharper. It includes Joy-Con 2 mouse controls, a resolution bump up to 4K at 30fps, and built-in mic features like a megaphone to call villagers. Plus, it supports native 'Game Chat' and camera play functionalities.

The Animal Crossing: New Horizons Switch 2 edition is priced at 69,800 won. If you’re already rocking the original Switch version, you can simply grab a 5,000 won pass to unlock the upgrade.
