Nexon rolled out the second phase of its 'NEW LIFE' update for Mabinogi on the 15th, introducing Part 1 of the new main-stream chapter, G28: 'Twilight's Remnant'.

The narrative kicks off as the Milesians and the Morning Star Mercenaries arrive in 'Gorias'. Once a shining beacon of peak technology and civilization, this city now lies in ruin, kept barely functional by the erratic clockwork left behind in the wake of the gods' departure. Expect plenty of friction between the main cast as they navigate these decaying streets.

Once you've cleared the G28 Part 1 story, you can tackle the 'Tala Gath Investigator' daily quest for seven days. Rewards include one Rebirth Potion and the 'Tala Gath Investigator' 1st Title. For each daily completion, you'll snag one 'Tala Gath Orange Magic Ink'. Finish it seven times, and you'll earn the 'Wind Linking Past, Present, and Future' 1st Title. Plus, if you finish the story before maintenance on February 12th, you'll be entered into a draw for Nexon Cash.

The 'Winter Sports Festival' is also now live. Head over to the snowy region of Vales to participate in four mini-games, which will unlock sequentially week by week: skiing, snowball fights, ski jumping, and shaved ice making.

Participating in these mini-games nets you daily quest rewards, including 10 Winter Sports Festival Tokens, one Shining Marble, one Near, and a variety of 30-minute buffs for physical/magic attack, alchemy damage, and music boost.

Spend those hard-earned tokens on cosmetic goodies like the Strawberry Shaved Ice Hat Box, Beautiful Snowflake Earring Box, and Snowman Bubble Wand Box. You can also grab Snowflake Ice Sweets—which grant a 2,026% boost to combat and exploration XP—and exclusive enchantment scrolls like 'Leaping', 'Soaring', 'Snowball', and 'Lightly Covered'.

The Fever Season event is also back for round two, allowing you to handpick seven buffs to suit your playstyle. Perks for those with a cumulative level of 40,000 or below—such as free daily rebirths and bonus cumulative levels per level-up—remain in place. Furthermore, everyone who joins in before the February 12th maintenance will receive a fully upgraded Refined Armor set.
